1. What can I do after completing German A1?

After German A1 you can progress to German A2, continuing toward B1/B2 needed for university admission or work in Germany. A1 gives you the foundation for everyday conversations and further German language certification.

A1 is the absolute beginner level  introducing yourself and handling simple daily situations. A2 builds on it with broader vocabulary, past tense, and more confident everyday communication. Most learners aiming to study or work in Germany continue through B1 or B2.

A1 is the starting point, not the requirement. Most German universities expect B2 or C1, and many jobs require B1 or higher. A1 builds the foundation you need to reach those levels  and it’s often required for family reunion and some visa pathways.
